Advanced Materials and Fabric composition-These gloves are built using advanced material such as Antistatic Nomex, Aramid and Para-Aramid fabrics (Kevlarâ) instead of natural leather fabrics as most competitive gloves in the fire industry.  The benefit to you is that the Flamex Fighter gloves will last 2-3 times longer than standard leather fire gloves and provide greater dexterity.  Water and perspiration salts do not impact the pliability of the gloves and they do not get hard and stiff after exposure to these elements as leather gloves do. Not only do these gloves protect you from the heat of fires with a high thermal performance, they also keep those hands warm & dry in cold weather fire fighting conditions down past single digit temperatures.

The Flamex Fighters achieve a TPP Rating of 53.7 tested & certified

independently by SEI (Safety Equipment Institute).

Pre-Curved & Fourchette Finger Style design-These gloves are made with an ergonomic pre-curved hand design for a better fit to conform to your actual hand.  Our Fourchette finger style allows your fingers to lay closer together, which increases your hands gripping strength capability, and lessens fatigue while improving your dexterity.  Can you flip a coin or dial a cell phone with your current gloves? You can with the Flamex Fighters!

Waterproof & Blood Borne Pathogen Proof-The gloves have a complete waterproof and blood borne pathogen proof (BBP) barrier that extends all the way to the end of the gauntlet.  By keeping your hands dry it helps to eliminate slipping inside your gloves and keeps your hands dry and warm in those cold climate conditions.  With the liquid barrier being BBP, potential blood transfer from victims protects the firefighter from potential life threatening transmissions.  No more wet gloves to have to work a scene.

Silicon Impregnated Kevlarâ palms & Kevlarâ Knuckle Protection-We have built this glove with the complete palm made of Kevlar impregnated with silicon to create a highly durable and slip resistant surface.  The fingers, fourchettes and palms up to the wrist are resistant to cuts and punctures to protect the firefighter from sharp metal and other materials that can injure their hands.  The impregnated silicon makes the Kevlar surface non-slip in wet or dry conditions providing a confidence that you won’t lose your grip due to wet conditions.  The Kevlar knuckle protection also protects the backhand from cuts and punctures when providing extrication from accident scenes.  These two features make this glove suitable as an extrication glove, as well as, a Structural Fire Rescue glove.  You no longer have to carry multiple gloves to fight a structural fire and another pair to do accident extrication work.  Two critical uses in one glove!

Ulnar Nerve Protection pad- A silicon gel pad has been placed over the Ulnar nerve in the hand to protect the firefighter from impacts and bruising to this critical nerve stem.  We’ve incorporated this protection feature that prevents damage that can be caused by repetitive pressures and impacts to this part of your hand.  Damage to this nerve can cause Ulnar nerve neuropathy, which is a painful inflammation of the ulnar nerve that runs from your arm into your hand. This injury can cause numbness, tingling, and pain in the arm, hand, wrist, and little finger.  Injuries to the hand are difficult to repair because of the complexity of the hand.  Often, after a hand injury, the hand may not function as it did before the injury.  There may be loss of motion, dexterity, loss of grip, and loss of the ability to complete the simplest of tasks.  In fact, it may affect your ability to earn a living.

Long Over Turn-out Sleeve Gauntlet Design- The Flamex Fighter is built with a long gauntlet so that it goes over your turnout coat and our integrated cinch strap tightens to create a barrier for water and debris not to fall inside your gloves.  The long gauntlet also protects your wrist area that can become exposed when you extend your arm, which creates a gap between your turnout coat and any short wrist glove causing exposure. Currently a Kevlar wristlet is used on many turnout coats to offer some protection, but new guidelines proposed for enactment in the near future will require your complete ensemble (turnout coat to glove) have thermal protection and be blood borne pathogen proof in this area.  The Flamex Fighter is ahead of the protective technology curve!

Chrome Steel Attachment clasp-Never misplace your gloves again.  These integrated claps allow you to clip the gloves together when not in use and attach them to your turnout coat so the gloves are always readily available.
