Draeger's new BG-4 is the successor of the legendary BG-174A which has protected the world mine rescue men for over 30 years.  Draeger's new BG-4 features cooler operation and comfort while meeting the 4-hour long duration needs of the user. The positive pressure breathing cycle makes the Draeger BG-4 particularly well-suited for long-term work requirements in confined space, hazardous, subway/tunnel, toxic and terrorist applications.

Draeger uses modern materials and advanced production technologies plus microelectronics to pave the way for a lightweight unit which provides the needed duration for rescue and work environments. The ergonomically shaped carrying frame in conjunction with the padded harness system ensures wearing comfort.

The flow sensitive CO 2 absorber, low breathing resistance and the integrated breathing air cooling system reduces stress to the user. Draeger's BG-4 can be quickly prepared for reuse once a mission is completed, which saves time and money. The Monitron is the electronic alarm, test and pressure display module providing reliable information on the status of the apparatus.
