Heartsaver First Aid Course
The Heartsaver First Aid Course has been developed using the same evidence-based process as all American Heart Association Emergency Cardiovascular Care courses.
The Heartsaver First Aid Course provides training in basic first aid procedures, with the opportunity for training in adult CPR and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The course is for people assigned as first responders to emergencies in the workplace or community. This includes corporate employees, security personnel, airline personnel, and other individuals who want or require first aid training.
Core Content (3 ˝ –4 hours*)
Elective Modules
Video-based instruction is the primary format of the Heartsaver First Aid Course. This teaching method has been shown to help students learn multiple psychomotor skills, and experience case-based scenarios in a realistic setting. Throughout the course, instructors introduce a topic and show a video segment to present cases for discussion or to demonstrate a particular skill. Students then discuss the scenario or practice the skill in small groups.
American Heart Association Training As the world leader in Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and CPR training, we offer the highest-quality courses and training materials available. Quality begins with the course content and extends through the design of the materials. A national training network with consistent policies and procedures further ensures the quality of our courses.
*All modules can be taught in less than 8 hours. For more information or to schedule a class contact us today.
