Crossover ProcessAmerican Heart Association We make it easy to become an instructor through Survival Group. If you already hold an American Heart Association CPR card it is just a matter reviewing your file and monitoring you for a class. Red Cross If you are a Red Cross instructor there are several great reasons to cross over, here are two. First the AHA issues course completion cards with a two year renewal recommendation. This is a great marketing advantage and cost savings to your students. Second is the freedom to teach anywhere without the hassle registering with the local ARC chapter. Click here to see how easy it is to complete the American Heart Association reciprocity process.
NSC, ASHI, Medic First Aid Unfortunately there is no reciprocity between the National Safety Council, American Health & Safety Institute, or Medic First Aid and the American Heart Association. This is primarily because there is little if any quality assurance on the programs being delivered. We don't want to speak badly of these organizations, we are a NSC training center for Pediatric First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens, but instructor renewal is as simple as sending in a check.
This is not the case with the AHA. Both the instructor and the Training Center are monitored regularly to assure that the highest quality programs are delivered to the client. Click here to see the instructor renewal checklist. It may appear like a hassle but in the long run we all lose if poor quality courses are delivered to the client.
We want to talk to you and will make the transition as easy as possible. To learn how easy it is to become an AHA instructor, click here. Call us at 203/230-3061 or Click here and we will contact you.
